Dr. Şebnem Bahadır from Mainz is an expert for Community Interpreting and will talk about this long-neglected field of interpreting. In her lecture she will trace the development of interpreting for migrants in Germany during the last 50 years. She will shed light upon the profiles of those doing the interpretation involved as well as on the political and social aspects involved in this kind of language mediation. Look forward to an exciting lecture and a lively discussion with questions and answers afterwards!
