Lebenslauf

  • Kerstin E. Cuhls studierte Japanologie, Sinologie und Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Hamburg (1985-1992).
  • Seit 1992 ist sie am Fraunhofer-Institut für System- und Innovationsforschung ISI in Karlsruhe als wissenschaftliche Projektleiterin tätig.
  • 1993 war sie für den Aufbau einer wissenschaftlichen Kooperation vier Monate an das National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) in Tokyo, Japan, abgeordnet.
  • 1997 folgte die Promotion zur Dr. phil. an der Universität Hamburg (Japanologie) über „Technikvorausschau in Japan“.
  • 2000 übernahm Kerstin E. Cuhls einen Lehrauftrag zu "Innovationspolitik und -management in Japan“ an der Hochschule Bremen, 2009 einen weiteren Lehrauftrag zu "Innovationen in Japan: Akteure, Themen, Politik“ an der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. Seit 2010 unterrichtet sie im Masterstudiengang „Zukunftsforschung“ der Freien Universität Berlin.
  • 2006 bis 2007 hatte Kerstin E. Cuhls die abteilungsübergreifende Querschnittsfunktion einer Foresight-/Vorausschau-Koordinatorin am ISI inne. 2008 bis 2010 war sie Leiterin des Geschäftsfeldes „Zukunftsforschung und Vorausschau“ im Competence Center Innovations- und Technologiemanagement und Vorausschau.
  • Von 2007 bis 2009 war Kerstin E. Cuhls Projektleiterin des BMBF-Foresight-Prozesses.
  • Sie koordinierte bereits die deutschen Vorausschau-Studien Delphi '93, Mini-Delphi 1995, Delphi '98 und begleitete den Futur-Prozess des BMBF, unter anderem als "wissenschaftliches Sekretariat“ für die beiden Evaluationen durch ein internationales Komitee. Kerstin E. Cuhls lehrt in diversen Seminaren zu Prioritätensetzungen, Vorausschau, Methoden und Delphi-Verfahren (UNIDO, ESTO/EU, andere) und arbeitet an unterschiedlichen regionalen, nationalen und internationalen Foresight-Projekten sowie einem Vergleich japanischer und europäischer Innovationspolitik.
  • Ab Oktober 2011 Vertretungsprofessorin am Institut für Japanologie der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (W3-Professur Gesellschaft/Geschichte Japans)
