Taiwanese Executive Learning Program
Welcome on the website of the Taiwanese Executive Learning Program!
The University of Heidelberg Institute for Political Science is proud to present the Taiwanese Executive Learning Program (TELP). Designed specifically for civil servants from Taiwan, the TELP is a two-week program starting on September 3rd 2012. The training program is organized in co-operation with the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration (DGPA) (行政院人事行政總處) which is a branch of the Executive Yuan (行政院). In its capacity as the executive arm of the Government of the Republic of China, the DGPA is responsible for the education and training of all civil servants for the Executive Yuan. In addition, DGPA also recruits professional staff members for its own operations. In this context, TELP represents the final stage in the extensive training process for Taiwanese public servants. This year, various prominent representatives from the world of science and politics will introduce the TELP participants to German policies and governance with a specific focus on Germany’s role in the European Union.
In this spirit, the Institute for Political Science would like to extend a very warm welcome to our guests from Taiwan and Germany. We are looking forward to many enriching and stimulating debates and wish you all a pleasant stay at Germany’s oldest university!
