HAUS Scholarship for Cameron Croft
28 October 2015
US student on a master’s programme at Heidelberg University
Cameron Croft is a student from the United States who successfully completed his bachelor degree at the University of Oklahoma earlier this year. Now he has won the scholarship awarded by Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS), the association of former Heidelberg University students in the U.S. Since the start of the current winter semesters he has been taking a master’s programme in molecular and cell biology at Heidelberg University.
“I have chosen to study at Heidelberg University for its emphasis on international collaboration, its quality of education, and its excellence in top-level research for life sciences,” Cameron Croft underlined. He wants to make a career in medical and biomedical research. While he is studying at Heidelberg he will receive 5,000 dollars from the HAUS scholarship scheme, which awarded its first scholarships in 2012.
The HAUS scholarship fund invites American alumni to donate for the scholarship. It goes to students who officially live in the United States and wish to change to Heidelberg University either for a semester abroad or for their whole degree course. Students taking bachelor courses receive 3,000 dollars and students studying for a master’s degree receive 5,000 dollars.
