U.S. psychology student Annika Flynn has been awarded the scholarship from Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS), Heidelberg University’s alumni association in the U.S. She has received a total of 3,000 dollars for her one-year stay at Ruperto Carola. In a small ceremony, President Prof. Dr Bernhard Eitel handed over the HAUS scholarship, now being awarded for the sixth time.
Annika Flynn, who studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage (USA), would like to broaden her studies in psychology during her time at Heidelberg University, particularly in the direction of biological psychology. She hopes to gain new perspectives that offer a more differentiated and comprehensive understanding of this field. Flynn also wants to her improve her German and get to know the university system in Germany.
American alumni of Ruperto Carola can specifically donate to the HAUS scholarship fund, which awards the scholarship every winter semester. The scholarship is intended for students living in the U.S. who wish to finance a semester abroad or pursue their full degree programme at Heidelberg University. Bachelor’s degree students receive aid in the amount of 3,000 dollars and master’s students 5,000 dollars.
