《福爾摩斯》：近代文藝小報。與《羅賓漢》《金剛鑽》《晶報》並稱為小報界“四大金剛”。

創刊于1926年7月3日，三日刊，1931年改為日刊，1937年一度停刊，1945年正式停刊。

該報創辦純屬偶然，乃是胡雄飛、吳微雨、姚吉光、湯筆花四人喝茶時論及滬上小報，觸髮靈感而興辦起來的，創辦后，胡任經理，吳主編務，姚任髮行、繪畫兼會計，湯跑廣告。

在內容上，該報註重揭露黨政軍和社會各界的黑幕，特別註重新聞報道，摒棄了了風花雪月的文字和長篇小說，註重立體式記載，常拋出驚人消息，所以銷路很廣。胡雄飛、吳微雨再接再厲，又大肆網羅人纔，特約上海外勤六虎將為特約撰述，又起用陳靈犀為主編，載人所不敢載，登人所不敢登。許多大報不便刊載的內幕新聞和文章皆在該報上刊齣，所以一方麵報紙銷量達到2萬多份，反響很好；另一方麵，因為它勇于報道訴訟真相，又樹敵很多。

由于聲勢日隆，海派文人紛紛投稿，一報容納不了，該報同人們又在1928年5月19日和1930年4月3日兼辦《福報》和《克雷斯》，附帶營業“華生書店”，齣版各種社會小說和新聞性叢書。

1931年9月1日，該報改為日刊。1937年“八·一三”抗戰時，它連續五天齣版“非常號外”，報道了上海戰事近況后停刊。1945年抗戰勝利后，曾于10月復刊7天，因未辦登記手續，從此正式停刊。 （祝均宙）
