Call for Applications within the Excellence Initiative: Travel Grants for Doctoral Candidates and Postdocs

APPLICATION DEADLINES FOR 2011: January 23rd, April 10th, June 12th, October

The University of Heidelberg Graduate Academy is pleased to announce funding support for doctoral candidates and postdocs for participation in conferences, workshops and for short-term research trips in Germany and abroad. Funding up to a maximum of 1,500 € will be awarded for the reimbursement of travel and living expenses (excluding meals) as well as for registration fees.

Pre-Requisites For Applying for a Travel Grant:

Doctoral candidates

• must have completed a university degree that qualifies them to pursue doctoral training,
• must be officially admitted as a doctoral candidate to the appropriate Faculty at the University of Heidelberg.

Postdocs

• must have completed their doctorate not more than three years before the date of application, and
• must have, at the time of application, a valid employment contract with the University of Heidelberg.
