12 Doctoral Positions at the Research Training Group: “Spatio/Temporal Probabilistic Graphical Models and Applications in Image Analysis”

The Research Training Group (RTG 1653) funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG) and associated with the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) of the University of Heidelberg, Germany is now inviting applications for its second generation of PhD students (2013-2016).
All PhD students will be supported both scientifically and logistically by the Heidelberg Graduate School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences. They will be jointly advised by two principal investigators from the Institutes of Applied Mathematics (Bock, Dahlhaus, Gneiting), Theoretical Physics (Heermann), Computer Science (Ommer, Reinelt), and the Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing (Hamprecht, Jähne, Schnörr).
The doctoral positions are full-time positions in the salary class TV-L 13. They are awarded for 3 years.
