Liebe Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden,
morgen (15. Mai 2024) findet ab 12 Uhr der zweite IMPACT DAY unter dem Motto „Empowering Ideas, Inspiring Tomorrow“ der Universität Heidelberg statt. Ausgerichtet wird er von der Transferagentur hei_INNOVATION, die den Tag für alle Mitglieder der Universität veranstaltet, um zu zeigen, wie interessant, vielseitig, spannend und faszinierend Wissens- und Technologietransfer sein kann - von den neusten Erfindungen bis zu gesellschaftlichen Innovationen.
hei_INNOVATION präsentiert ab 13 Uhr im Foyer der Neuen Universität vier Transferinseln mit besonderen Transferprojekten zu den Themen Gesellschaftliche Relevanz, Industrie, Transfer erleben und Nachhaltigkeit. Am Nachmittag finden außerdem Workshops rund um das Thema Innovation und Transfer statt, wie z. B. zu Design Thinking, Podcasting, Wissenschaftskommunikation, Social Entrepreneurship oder Patentschutz. Eine Anmeldung im Vorfeld ist dazu erforderlich.
In den folgenden Workshops sind aktuell noch einige Plätze frei:

- How to protect your Intellectual Property (EN)
- How to Start a Podcast (DE)
- Wissenschaftskommunikation (DE)
- Warum nicht die Welt retten? – Das Impactpotential von Forschungsprojekten erkennen und nutzen (DE)

Begleitet wird der Tag ab 12 Uhr mit Foodtrucks auf dem Universitätsplatz.
Das Abendprogramm ab 18 Uhr beinhaltet das Finale und die Preisverleihung des hei_INNOVATION Ideenwettbewerbs und ein Gespräch von Jan-Martin Wiarda mit der Unternehmerin, Investorin und Autorin Tijen Onaran und der Prorektorin für Innovation und Transfer, Prof. Dr. Katja Patzel-Mattern.

Impact Day on May 15 - Workshops and more
Dear doctoral candidates,
Tomorrow (15 May 2024) the second IMPACT DAY will take place at Heidelberg University under the motto "Empowering Ideas, Inspiring Tomorrow" from 12 pm. It is being organized by the transfer agency hei_INNOVATION. They are hosting the day for all members of the university to show how interesting, diverse, exciting and fascinating knowledge and technology transfer can be – from the latest inventions to social innovations.
hei_INNOVATION will present four transfer islands with special transfer projects on the topics of social relevance, industry, experiencing transfer and sustainability in the foyer of the New University from 1 pm. In the afternoon, there will also be workshops on the topics of innovation and transfer, such as design thinking, podcasting, science communication, social entrepreneurship and patent protection. Registration in advance is required.

The day will be complemented by food trucks on the university square from 12 noon.
The evening event from 6 p.m. includes the final and the award ceremony of the hei_INNOVATION ideas competition and a discussion by Jan-Martin Wiarda with the entrepreneur, investor and author Tijen Onaran as well as the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer, Professor Katja Patzel-Mattern.
