CfA - Visiting Scholars-in-Residence "History of (Tropical) Botany in the 20th century" (University of Vienna)

The Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna offers up to five visiting scholars-in-residence positions (“Werkvertrag”) in the research project “Tropical Botany in Exile. Mona Lisa Steiner (1914-2000) Scientific Continuities, Transfers and Practices in Austria and the Philippines”.
The visiting scholars-in-residence are expected to be part of an international and interdisciplinary network of scholars working on the history of botany, plant sciences and/or exile in the 20th century. Scholars of all nationalities - and especially women - are encouraged to submit a research proposal (maximum 1000 words), a curriculum vitae, a publication list, and a proposal.
Work contracts are for a maximum of two months either between November 2013 and July 2014 or between March and May 2015.
Scholars will be in residence at the project location in Vienna for the duration of their contract and have their own workplaces at the Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna.
