With the Otto Bayer scholarships Bayer supports study projects, internships, summer courses, preparatory and supplementary study courses, as well as theses and doctoral studies.
The Otto Bayer scholarships are open to students and doctoral students of the following disciplines:
- Biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biological process engineering, bioinformatics
- Chemistry, chemical engineering, material sciences and environmental sciences
- Pharmaceutics and drug discovery
- Physics
- Medical sciences

CfA Carl Duisberg scholarships

Application for a Carl Duisberg scholarship is open to students specializing in human medicine und veterinary medicine undergoing a clinical traineeship or in their practice year who would like to take part in scientific projects or continue their education at a prominent institution. Scholarships can be used e.g. for a clinical traineeship (Famulatur), for interships (PJ) and for examinations, master’s theses and research stays during the doctoral studies.
Key support areas are projects focusing on public health and social aspects and projects associated with the fields of:
- Cardiology
- Oncology
- Inflammation
- Diagnostic Imaging

Scholarships are granted exclusively to students from German-speaking countries wishing to study abroad and foreign applicants who want to study in Germany.
