Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarship Program

The Graduate Academy of Heidelberg University is pleased to announce to Canadian doctoral candidates at Heidelberg University the opportunity to participate in the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation doctoral scholarship program.

The Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation offers doctoral candidates in the humanities and social sciences – in Canada and abroad – the opportunity to be part of a unique three-year program providing generous financial support for research, and the chance to develop new skills as engaged leaders.

The Foundation’s 2020 Doctoral Scholarship Competition is open to Canadian citizens who are already accepted into or in year one, two, or three of a full-time doctoral program in the humanities or social sciences and whose doctoral work relates to one of the Foundation’s four central themes: human rights and dignity, responsible citizenship, Canada and the world, people and their natural environment.  Heidelberg University has the opportunity to nominate 3 doctoral candidates to take part in the competition. The final decision will be made by the Foundation.
