Call for Application for the Falling Walls Lab during the „Falling Walls Conference” (8-9 November 2013, Berlin)

MA students and PhD-candidates, Post-Docs and young professionals are encouraged to apply for participating in the Falling Walls Lab at the „Falling Walls Conference - The International Conference on Future Breakthroughs in Science and Society“. The Falling Walls Lab is a platform for excellent young scientists and innovators from all disciplines who get the opportunity to share their research work with peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business. On November 8, the Falling Walls Lab Berlin gathers 100 outstanding young academics in Berlin – each of them presenting their topic in a challenging 3-minute form.

The three most intriguing presenters will be invited to give their 3 minutes speech at the Conference again – side by side with the most prominent researchers from all over the globe.

An A.T. Kear ney Scholarship will be granted to all participants, covering accommodation from 8 to 9 November and the ticket for the Falling Walls Conference on 9 November. Please note that travel expenses cannot be reimbursed.

The concept of the conference is: Each year on 9 November, the day of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Falling Walls Conference dares a look into the future and asks: Which are the next walls to fall and how will this affect our lives?
