25 Years HAI – 25 Special Alumni Stories

Heidelberg has always been a place for special occasions and inspiring encounters: Numerous stories and anecdotes originated here. In the context of #25HAI we were looking for funny, crazy, unusual, and of course heart-warming stories and found many of them:

Memories of offbeat and personally meaningful experiences, stories that make you smile, laugh or pensive, accounts of long-standing friendships, some of which cross borders and still exist today, and of course and not surprisingly, love stories about hearts lost, forgiven or found in Heidelberg. A collection of memories of life-shaping encounters of our alumnae and alumni from all over the world, from the 1950s to the present, which not only reflect the diversity of the HAI network, but also highlight the emotional value of the time spent studying.

Bunte Kacheln mit Story-Titeln

25 submissions - in line with the 25th anniversary of Heidelberg Alumni International - were printed in the anniversary edition of our alumni magazine HAIlife. These as well as all other stories of our network members and two historical articles about the first alumna and the first alumnus of Heidelberg University are published here.

Thank you so much for each and every submission!
