Dr Claudia Fleischer has been General Manager and Spokeswoman of the Management Board of Roche Diagnostics GmbH as well as General Manager of Roche Deutschland Holding GmbH since 2023. She studied pharmacy at Martin Luther University Halle/Wittenberg, where she qualified as a pharmacist in 1998. She then moved to Ludwig Maximilians University and received her PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry in 2000. After a subsequent postdoctoral stay at Cornell University, USA, she began her professional career at a Swiss start-up company before joining F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in 2004 in the Technical Development department of the Pharma Division. This was followed by numerous management positions with increasing responsibility in the Pharma and Diagnostics Divisions as well as in Group functions in Switzerland, Germany, and most recently as General Manager of Roche Romania SRL, Romania. 

Dr Claudia Fleischer is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fraunhofer Society for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology and a member of the Baden-Württemberg State Board of Trustees of the Stifterverband. She is also a member of the Foundation Board of the Romius Foundation, a charitable organisation focussing on humanitarian and social projects, particularly in the poorest countries of the Third World, as well as on activities in the field of science and the promotion of young scientists.

Dr Claudia Fleischer has been a member of the Heidelberg University Council since July 2024.
