Information for Incoming ERASMUS Students

The Seminar for Ancient History and Epigraphy maintains active ERASMUS Students Exchange program with a number of European universities at the BA and MA level (see table here). Incoming students can choose from a wide variety of courses offered by the Seminar and other departments of Heidelberg University. Since many courses are normally taught in German, ERASMUS students should have a good command of German in both speaking and writing. In addition to regular classes, ERASMUS students can take German language classes at the Internationales Studienzentrum

The course catalogue of the Seminar for Ancient History and Epigraphy can be found here. For courses offered by other departments within Heidelberg’s Center for Ancient Studies, consult the websites of each institution. Please be advised that ERASMUS Exchange Students are generally discouraged from participation in courses reserved for first-year students, such as Proseminare and Quellenübungen. For help with choosing courses contact the ERASMUS Coordinator of the Seminar for Ancient History and Epigraphy.

Further information for incoming ERASMUS students is provided by the ERASMUS Incoming Office.
