Ute Mager is Professor of Public Law at the University of Heidelberg since 2004/05.
Particulalry noteworthy are her publications on constitutional law dealing with religion, freedom of religion and conscience. She has commented on Article 4 Grundgesetz and Article 140 Grundgesetz in Ingo von Münch/Philip Kunig (Ed.), Grundgesetz-Kommentar, München, 6. Aufl. 2012. Prof. Mager has also published the book „Religionsfreiheit und Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter – Spannungen und ungelöste Konflikte“ (Tübingen 2014) together with Juliana Kokott.
