Anne-Marie Parth, M.A. studied Political Science, Psychology and Economics at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and the University of Leiden (Netherlands) from 2011 to 2017 and has been a research associate at the IPW since April 2017. In her master's thesis she dealt with psychological determinants of protest motivation and conducted a laboratory experiment in this context. During her studies she was involved in various research projects as a student assistant and did internships at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and the GIGA Institute for African Studies. Her doctoral thesis on "Strategies and measures to overcome rising inequality" is supervised by Prof. Dr. Jale Tosun. From autumn 2019-2020 she worked together with Prof. Dr. Jale Tosun and Julia Weiß, M.A. on the project "Change through Crises? Solidarity and Desolidarization in Germany and Europe" (SoliKris). In spring 2020 she spent a research stay in Oxford at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention. Since December 2020, she is a project coordinator for an interdisciplinary research project led by Prof. Dr Markus Pohlmann at the Max Weber Institute for Sociology. Her interests include research on social inequality, policy evaluation, methodology, political psychology and experimental methods.
