Top Position in THE Europe Teaching Rankings

In the newly published Times Higher Education Europe Teaching Rankings, Heidelberg University is Germany's top-ranking institution. It places among the top 30 universities in Europe (at 26th), with the University of Oxford (Great Britain) at No. 1. In Germany, Göttingen ranks second (38th in Europe), followed by LMU Munich, the University of Mannheim, the Technical University of Munich, and the University of Tübingen, which all placed in the 51 to 75 group in Europe.
The Europe Teaching Rankings from Times Higher Education (THE) published on 12 July 2018 focuses on the teaching and learning environments in universities. An institution's overall score in this list is based on 13 weighted individual performance indicators, among them quality of teaching, infrastructure, and support from faculty. The ranking is based on an analysis of the data collected in the THE European Student Survey.
