CfA: PRIO1 Klima-Preis 2024

Organisation: Prio1

Target Group: Student groups or (early) start-ups

Deadline: July 31, 2024

This year, for the first time, the PRIO1 Klima-Preis for innovative projects around the topic of climate protection and sustainability will be awarded! Are you aged between 16 and 30 and have an innovative idea to tackle the climate crisis? Then apply for the PRIO1 Climate Prize and convince us that your idea is worthy of an award. Student groups or (early) start-ups can apply. Three prizes totaling € 4,500 will be awarded and the closing date for submissions is July 31, 2024. 

CfA: ELSE KRÖNER EXZELLENZSTIPENDIEN 2024 

Organisation: Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation 

Target Group: Doctors working at university hospitals or research institutions 

Deadline: August 19, 2024

In 2024, the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation will once again be offering up to six Else Kröner Excellence Scholarships, each worth € 350,000. Eligible to apply are academically successful doctors who have completed their specialist examination at the time of application and who work at university hospitals or research institutions of medical faculties providing patient care in Germany. You can apply until August 19, 2024!

CfA: BMBF - Strengthening start-up activities in the life sciences "GO-Bio next"

Organisation: BMBF Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung

Target Group: Scientists and researchers

Deadline: September 15, 2024

The BMBF is pursuing the goal of increasing start-up activities in the life sciences and accelerating the transfer from basic research to application and making it more efficient. Funding will be provided in two phases and an application is required to participate. Project outlines must be submitted in electronic form by September 15.

CfA: Trilaterale Erkenntnistransferprojekte

Organisation: German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft 

Target Group: Scientists and researchers

Deadline: September 17, 2024

The German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft are jointly calling for proposals in the field of knowledge transfer. Funding will be provided for trilateral transfer projects involving scientists from universities and Fraunhofer Institutes in cooperation with application partners with the aim of closing the gap between basic research and application. The maximum duration of the projects is three years. The DFG and Fraunhofer provide funding of up to € 3,000,000 per call. The aim of the call is to fund five to eight transfer projects.

upCAT - The accelerator programme

Organisation: enTechnon, the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Management and the KIT-Gründerschmiede

Target Group: Scientists, researchers and students from the KIT environment, KIT partners and the Helmholtz Association with focus on deep tech

Do you have an initial idea for your own company and need a boost to turn it into reality? Then the Start-up Catalyst – upCAT – is the right place for you. upCAT is a joint offer of enTechnon, the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Management and the KIT-Gründerschmiede. Teams of scientists, researchers and students from the KIT environment, KIT partners and the Helmholtz Association may participate. Teams should focus on Deep Tech.

Novo Nordisk validatioNN funding program   

Organisation: Novo Nordisk

Target Group: Life science scientists

The validatioNN funding initiative within the Novo Nordisk Science2Medicine program is aimed at life science scientists seeking (financial) support for a key experiment. The aim of this short grant is to test a clinically relevant hypothesis. The focus is on cardiometabolic diseases. Project funding is up to 50,000 € for six to nine months. Additional support is provided through access to resources and exchange with Novo Nordisk experts. Application by a written proposal is possible on an ongoing basis. Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE)

Organisation: Italienischen Handelskammer für Deutschland e.V (ITKAM)

Target Group: Young entrepreneur students

Do you want to explore new markets and develop and test your own skills abroad? With the EU-funded mentorship Erasmus programme for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) and EYE Global, young entrepreneurs -up to 3 years of start-up experience, have the opportunity to work with an experienced entrepreneur abroad. The collaboration can last up to 6 months in EU countries and up to 3 months in the USA, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Israel. During this time, financial support is available. There are new mentors who are looking for innovative entrepreneurs.
