Student Innovation Lab
Turn your idea into a prototype, a scalable business model and your own startup! In the Student Innovation Lab students can develop their idea into a real-world product and get hands-on support from experts.
It bridges the gap between academic studies and practical start-up experience. Specialized labs enable the participatns to develop and test prototypes. Simultaneously it teaches entrepreneurial skills to transform ideas and prototypes into scalable and disruptive businesses.

Eligibility and Program Structure
- Open to Bachelor´s students from the 3rd semester onwards and Master´s students of all semesters
- Kick off: First week of the winter term 2024/2025
- Program spans for two semesters and is worth 15 ECTS
During the program, you will attend lectures on entrepreneurial skills and benefit from close support through weekly meetings with our hei_INNOVATION team management. This includes expert guidance, mentorship, and start-up consulting. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, a practical seminar will start in the summer term. You are going to work together in groups of four people to work on your projects. Preferences for specific team members can be expressed during the application process. While we will do our best to accommodate these requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be met.
By the end of the program you´ll receive a letter of attendance for the Student Innovation Lab as well as the Entrepreneurial Skills Certificate by hei_INNOVATION.
