On-Site Registration
Main Conference: The registration for the conference will take place in the Senate Hall of the Old University (Grabengasse 1) and will be open on Wednesday, September 11th, starting at 11 a.m.
Arriving on Thursday: No problem! You can register on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. onward in the Foyer of the New University (Universitätsplatz 1).
Preconference Workshop Participants: Registration will take place on Tuesday, September 10th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Foyer of the IBW (Akademiestrasse 3).
CNSR Lab Visit Participants: Registration will take place on September 11th starting at 9 a.m. in the Foyer of the IBW.
Welcome & Get Together Reception
Don’t miss the Welcome & Get Together Reception with refreshments and finger food on Wednesday September 11th starting at 12:30 in the Bel Etage (Old University, Grabengassse 1).
On-site Assistance
Our local team is supported by numerous student assistants. They will be easily identifiable by their red Heidelberg University T-Shirts. We will be happy to assist you with any questions and problems. Do not hesitate to contact one of our team if you need help or information.
Presentations in Paper and Symposium Sessions
The lecture halls are equipped with projectors, presenters, and microphones. Experience shows that most of us prefer to use our own laptops for presentations, so we will not be providing computers. Please be prepared to present from your own laptop or, in the case of symposia, to upload the presentation to a shared laptop. The laptops can be connected via an HDMI cable. Please also remember to bring any necessary adapters. We will have an “emergency set” of adapters available in the conference office.
Storing Your Luggage and Check Your Coat
If you arrive directly from the airport or train to the conference without stopping at the hotel, there will be a room where you can store your bags and check your coat. This applies, of course, to all conference days. You can also drop off your things if you take a short break from the conference and head out for a walk around the city or to the castle. As we are changing locations on Wednesday afternoon, please remember to take your luggage with you from the Old University during coffee break. You can then drop it off at the New University again.
Lost and Found
If you lose or accidentally leave something behind during the conference, please contact the Conference Office in the Foyer of the New University. If you find something that appears to have been forgotten or lost, we kindly ask you to do the same.
Waste Prevention
For sustainability reasons, our aim is to organize the event producing as little waste as possible. Therefore, we decided to not hand out bags, writing pads, pens or similar items. If you need any of these urgently, please contact the conference office. We also aim to avoid disposable cups for drinks as far as possible. If you require a disposable cup, please reach out to our conference team. Regular cups are available during coffee breaks. When you register, you will receive a cold drink in a deposit bottle. You can exchange your empty bottle for a full one at any time during the conference. Leftovers from lunches and receptions are collected by “Foodsharing” and donated to those in need.
Meeting Room for Onsite Group Meetings
If you would like to meet for a small group session during the conference, a seminar room will be available in the basement of the New University starting in the afternoon of Wednesday, September 11th. Please contact the Conference Office in the Foyer of the New University for availability and arrangements.
