《小日報》：近代社會、文藝小報。與《社會日報》《上海報》《上海日報》並為上海30年代“四種日刊”。

1926年8月1日，由舒舍予和韓天受的弟弟韓嘯虎出資辦《小日報》，聘沈吉誠為主編。沈吉誠力邀各路名傢為之撰稿，因此銷路打開。一年后《小日報》被轉給查士瑞，編務先后由馮夢雲、黃光益負責。30年代初，該報進入“林七賢”時代，由范煙橋、包天笑、江紅蕉、黃轉陶、姚民哀、查士瑞等七人負責。在此期間，該報因為觸怒鉅商被勒令停刊數日，恰逢尤半狂來滬，被委託以報務。黃光益、尤半狂對報紙進行勒改革，降低售價，減少名人軼事、花叢消息的報道，加重政治侷勢、時事新聞的分量；又採用各通訊社的電訊稿，聘請大報記者為特約撰述，加之自辦髮行，于是該報的銷路從困境中走齣。直到1937年“八·一三”事變纔停刊。

1947年4月24日該報第三次復刊，于次年秋正式停刊。前后斷續齣版了將近30年，是夀命最長的一份小報。 與該報同名的報紙第一次創刊由韓天受在1919年4月1日在望平街創刊，當時多為三日刊，報頭題字每日變換，分別是葉小鳳、馮小隱、袁寒雲、周瘦鵑、馮叔鸞、姚民哀等人題寫，各版分設小論、俳文、趣聞、菊部、花叢、說苑、譯藻、技言等欄目。可惜齣版到第40期停刊。

同名小報創始于1919年4月1日，創始人韓天受。1926年小日報的出資者之一韓嘯虎是韓天受的弟弟。小日報的歷史可分爲前後兩個時期，第一個時期從創刊至民國26年8月14日，第二個時期從民國36年4月28日至民國37年8月。第一個時期又分爲四個階段：舒舍予、韓嘯虎老板，沈吉誠編輯時期為第一階段。查士端、黃光益老板，馮夢云編輯為第二階段。查士端、黃光益老板，七賢（包天笑、江紅焦、范煙橋、姚賡夔、黃轉陶、查士端、黃光益）輪流編輯為第三階段。查士端、黃光益老板，尤半狂編輯為第四階段。

1919年4月1日，同名小報第一次創刊較早，館址在上海望平街，齣版到第40期停刊。
