Building and developing a career - how do you do it and what are your goals? The answers to these questions are diverse and depend on the subject and individual requirements
In order to be able to provide the best possible information and advice in the area of starting professional life and careers, we need your support: As the Heidelberg Career Contact for current students and young graduates, you can get involved in different areas and in a variety of ways. Together we can expand the services for younger network members and respond to increased demand and individual needs in a targeted way.

Be a speaker for the event series “Berufsperspektive”
As a Heidelberg graduate who has successfully entered the job market, you and other alumni will give current students advice and guidance in the graduation and career entry phase against the background of your own CV. You talk about your personal experiences and are available to answer the participants' questions. A very authentic discussion group!
Be a Role Model of your Subject Field
Use your professional career to show where your degree can lead you. Get involved as a contact person, e.g. at events organised by the departmental student councils, info events, career days or exam celebrations. Together with other alumni, you can show current students and graduates the variety of career opportunities in your field.
Offer Internships or Job Shadowing
Insights into everyday work life are incredibly valuable - they can either strengthen young people in their career choice or prevent them from making the wrong decisions. Help shape the future and offer a one-day job shadowing or an internship for Heidelberg students at your workplace/company/employer.
Be an exhibitor or provide support
We offer companies that are specifically looking for suitable interns, working students or graduates a suitable platform with internal career fairs. For university fairs and career events in Germany and abroad, we are also looking for alumni who would like to share their personal experiences and answer questions from interested parties.
Publish offers
Are you looking for potential and talented junior staff, interns or experienced employees for your company or institution? Then use the HAI Job Board as a network member. Select the function “Submit new offer” in the appropriate category, fill in the form and we will activate your offer as soon as possible after checking it.
