Our Luxembourg alumnae and alumni suffered a great and sad loss in June

Marc Origer, treasurer and founding member of the second oldest national HAI group HALU, who had attended the HALU General Assembly in April, died unexpectedly. Marc died on 14 June at the age of 74 after a short, serious illness. “HALU was the first club that I had the honour of supporting when it was founded as the head of HAI,” says Silke Rodenberg. "I have particularly vivid memories of that time: The Luxembourgers started their project – Heidelberg Alumni Luxembourg – with a lot of vigour and have maintained this to this day. Marc was not only a founding member, he has also remained loyal to the club over the years and has made a valuable contribution to HALU in his role as treasurer. Heidelberg University is deeply indebted to him and regrets to have lost him."
