heiCO Operation and Development Team

The heiCO operating team, headed by Jessica Rink, consists of interdisciplinary specialists who are responsible for supporting the heiCO platform and its users. The current team of eleven is divided into the sub-areas BIT (basic IT), BAR (basic resources), BEW (application and admissions management), SUG (student and fee management), SPO (study and examination regulations), PRM (examination management), VLM (course and classroom management) and the heiCO helpdesk.

On this page you will find the persons responsible for the individual areas.

Management and Management Assistance

The head of the heiCO department, Jessica Rink, manages the overarching organisation of the CaMS heiCO in operation and in the parallel further development/expansion. She is the overarching contact to TU Graz for all matters relating to CAMPUSonline and heiCO (processes, organisational structure, key users, new releases, etc.). She is also the OZG (Online Access Act) officer for heiCO, the contact point for the digitalisation projects relating to international relations at UHD (e.g. ERASMUS without papers or 4EU+).

The Assistant to the Operations and Development Team supports the Head of Department with all administrative tasks, among other things. She also supports the heiCO team/key users in organising continuous coordination with the subjects and central institutions. However, it is also an essential point of contact for operational project communication and therefore an important link for UHD into the heiCO team.

Sub-Area BAR

The BAR sub-area (basic resources) is headed by Andreas Daniel Kopietz. He also coordinates the development of solutions in the areas of automation and business intelligence. The basic resources that are managed include data on employees, rooms, offices and committees.

Sub-Area BIT

The BIT sub-area (basic IT) is managed with the help of URZ employees. The URZ provides the infrastructure, hardware, software and the network for heiCO.

Sub-Area BEW and SUG

Dr Anne Hildenbrand is responsible for managing the BEW and SUG sub-areas. During the project phase, she was responsible for the VLM sub-project. The BEW sub-area comprises the application and admissions management of applicants to Heidelberg University. As part of student and fee management, the master data of students are recorded, fees, health insurance status and re-registration are managed, documents, fee status and certificates are made available and changes of degree programme and exmatriculations are carried out.

Sub-Area SPO

Dirk Eller will continue to manage the SPO (study and examination regulations) sub-area. He is supported by Dr Carla Russ, who was previously part of the PRM sub-project, where she oversaw the migration of achievement data and conducted training courses. She is also the new representative for digital accessibility. The SPO sub-area is responsible for the technical mapping of Heidelberg University's study examination regulations in heiCO.

Sub-Area PRM

Dr Felicitas Fischer von Weikersthal is head of the PRM (examination management) sub-area. Examination management is responsible for the administration of examinations, the booking of achievements and the recording of graduation data.

Sub-Area VLM

Claudia Morche, who previously conducted PRM training courses and finalised the final documents, is now responsible for the VLM (course and classroom management) sub-area. As part of course and classroom management, courses and registration procedures are created, organised and made available for booking. The functionalities for maintaining classrooms, resources and authorisation profiles are also managed by the VLM sub-area.

heiCO Helpdesk

The heiCO helpdesk will continue to be managed by Thomas Reeh. He is supported by Manuel Elzer and, since August 2024, by former SPO team member Jonathan Simpfendörfer. The helpdesk qualifies, prioritises and processes service requests (tickets) from heiCO users and forwards them to the appropriate contact person.

Nina Eichler is responsible for documenting heiCO processes and creating manuals.
