Chemist Prof. Dr Andreas Dreuw is Vice-Rector for Research and Digitalisation and First Vice-Rector of Heidelberg University. He heads the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Research Group at the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing.
As Vice-Rector, he is responsible for the implementation of Excellence Strategy measures, provision and optimisation of research infrastructures, promotion and expansion of interdisciplinary research consortia, inter-university cooperation within the Heidelberg Karlsruhe Strategic Partnership (HEiKA), and cooperation with non-university research organisations.
