Vice-Rector Quality Development and Sustainability Karin Schumacher

Biologist Prof. Dr Karin Schumacher is Vice-Rector for Quality Development and Sustainability of Heidelberg University. She directs the Cell Biology Research Group at the Centre for Organismal Studies (COS). 

Her responsibilities as Vice-Rector cover criteria-based quality development and the promotion of sustainability in all areas of university performance. Another focus of her work is on enhancing career conditions for early career researchers.
