Department 2.2 Legal Service Student Affairs and Teaching

The Department of Legal Services for Legal Service Student Affairs and Teaching advises on all legal issues relating to studies and teaching. The office of the Senate Committee for Teaching (SAL), which is an advisory committee of the Senate, is located in the department.

We are available for legal advice and drafting for the following topics in particular:

• Drafting statutes in the area of studies and teaching, in particular admission regulations, examination regulations, fee regulations, cooperation agreements (national and international cooperation, joint degree programmes)
• Doctoral and habilitation matters as well as drafting regulations
• Legal advice on the establishment of degree programmes
• Appeal proceedings, out-of-court settlement of disputes in examination matters
• Litigation in the event of complaints in the area of study and teaching
• Support in the preparation of resolution documents for the SAL and Senate
