Information on energy-saving measures

Considering the still noticeable increases in energy costs in the university budget - but also for reasons of sustainability, to which the university is committed - joint efforts within the university to reduce energy consumption are a priority. This includes not only centrally organised measures, but also regulations under the responsibility of the respective facility management as well as changes in the everyday life of each individual. You know your working environment and your habits and are therefore best placed to assess which measures - both large and small - can be used to achieve effective energy savings. Survey analysis on sustainability and climate protection

The University of Heidelberg supports the state government's overarching climate protection goals and is making the necessary contribution to achieving the goal of a largely climate-neutral state administration by 2040 as set out in the Baden-Württemberg Climate Protection Act. In this context, an opinion survey of employees and students on climate protection and sustainability issues was conducted in August 2020 using an online questionnaire.
