Our team of safety engineers, biologists, chemists and physicists offers you information material to help you fulfil your tasks in occupational safety, fire and health protection. Scientists can also find their contact here for all questions about handling natural biological agents and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), in particular when it comes to risk assessment and the transport of organisms. In addition, we help with the submission of applications for working in genetic engineering facilities and in accordance with the Infection Protection Act. The staff unit also supports the planning of site conversions and new buildings and is involved in external committees, particularly for laboratory safety issues when handling biological agents and GMOs.
