External Member Tilman Krauch

Dr Tilman Krauch worked with the Freudenberg Group as a member of the board of Freudenberg & Co. KG (limited partnership) and Chief Technology Officer of Freudenberg SE until July 2024.

Before transferring to Freudenberg, he held several positions in the BASF Group in Germany, Hong Kong and the United States, finally as president of the Construction Chemicals division.

Tilman Krauch studied chemistry at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and ETH, Zurich, Switzerland, where he also did his doctoral studies. After spending time as a postdoctoral researcher at the Shemyakin Institute, Moscow, Russia and the University of Kyoto, Japan, he embarked on his career in industry at BASF AG, Ludwigshafen, in the Research and Development area.

Dr Krauch has belonged to the Heidelberg University Council since October 2023.
