Ruperto Carola Ringvorlesung Between Freedom and Authoritarianism

This lecture aims to analyze the emergence of a new style of thinking with French theory. The main thesis is that it gave rise to an authoritarian science. As is often the case in the history of ideas, the uses of concepts by political actors and for political purposes largely distort their initial intent. How did we move from an analytical perspective which aimed to subvert previous forms of knowledge to an authoritarian knowledge – this is the question to which this lecture aims to respond.
