Fire protection Fire protection

Human life and material assets are at serious risk in the event of a fire. It is therefore necessary to think about fire protection in advance.

All employees should be informed about fire prevention and behaviour in the event of a fire. Familiarising yourself with the dangers of a fire, e.g. through fire drills, will help you to stay calm and act correctly in the event of a fire.

Fire protection is divided into preventive and defensive fire protection. Preventive fire protection includes:

  • structural fire protection
  • technical fire protection systems
  • organisational / operational fire protection

Should a fire occur despite preventive measures, the next step is to fight the fire: defensive fire protection comes into play. The behaviour rules in the event of a fire and the training of fire safety assistants should provide assistance in this regard.
