LANGUAGE PREPARATION AT HEIDELBERG UNIVERSITY
College for German Language and Culture at the International Study Centre (Internationales Studienzentrum, ISZ)
The College for German Language and Culture at the International Study Centre offers intensive German courses consisting of at least 20 hours of teaching per week. Courses are available at a range of levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced; A1-C1) Courses of certain levels prepare students to sit the DSH test (German language test for the admission to universities), or the entrance examination for the college. To qualify for participation in any of the German courses, students must have the right to complete a degree programme at a university.
Applicants interested in studying at the University (first or consecutive course of study) who wish to spend one or two semesters learning German before beginning their studies, may apply directly to the College for German Language and Culture at the ISZ. In this case, the application is for a place on the German course only.
Please be informed that it is not possible to complete an intensive German course at the College for German Language and Culture whilst completing a degree programme at the University.
