Dr. Alexander Sima †
New South Arabic
In the course of my studies in the South-Arabic languages I started to compile an extensive bibliography that is made accessible to public here. The focus was on linguistics, but I also enclosed ethnological, biological, geographic material and reports on journeys, as far as they contained linguistic data. Maybe there will be an opportunity some day to gather all the non-linguistic literature on Mahra and Dhofar, where most of the New-South-Arabic languages are spoken. The non-linguistic – mostly scientific – literature on Soqotra grew at an immense grade during the past years, so that it would require the work of an interdisciplinary committee to gather it completely. This bibliography will be updated regularly. I would appreciate any letter and comments on this work.
