Abstract:
As part of the on-going research of the German Archaeological Mission to the Sultanate of Oman, this yeat mapping, documentation, prospection, cleaning, and the partial restorationof archaeological monuments was undertaken. The monuments are largerly Pre- or Non-Islamic. Emphasized were the tower tombs of Shir/Jaylah, the mining and smelting relicts at Yanqul, cemetre near Almlah, as well as mumerous other sites newly discovered and already known.
