Organisational Development
The Organisational Development staff unit was founded in November 2017 in order to produce ideas for change and to support the University administration in the process of planning and implementing new approaches. One of its main responsibilities in this connection is making the experience gained through processes of change available for future projects. The unit reports directly to the Vice-President for Finance and Personnel.
An overview of the staff unit’s responsibilities
- Coordinating the implementation of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) within the University and university administration
- Implementing and managing organisational development projects
- Providing interface to the University Computing Centre
- Coordination of joint projects (“multiproject management”)
- Coordination of cross-divisional IT topics
- Offering support and methodological advice with:
- Project management (planning, organisation, financial control, best practices)
- Process management (e.g. standards for university administration, workshops on process optimisation)
- Knowledge management
- Updating data for university administration in the HIS-LSF system
- Taking decisions to change the organisation and distribution of business within the University’s administration
