Department 1.1 Legal Affairs
The Legal Department is your contact for all questions relating to civil, administrative and criminal law. It advises university bodies, committees and organizational units on legal matters and is entrusted with representing the interests of the university. It also draws up statutes and regulations and drafts and reviews contracts, in particular cooperation agreements with commercial enterprises and non-university research institutions. The department is also the office of the Senate Commission for Safeguarding Good Academic Practice and exercises legal supervision over the constituted student body. Requests under the State Freedom of Information Act are also coordinated here.
