Advisory Service Moodle: Setting up multi-factor authentication
Access to Moodle will be protected via a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection from 3rd July 2024. From 3rd July, Moodle will only be accessible from outside the campus via VPN with multi-factor authentication (MFA).
In general, users can carry out MFA authentication independently, provided they have access to a computer within the Heidelberg University network (e.g. in the institute, in the university library or in the URZ).
Support with setting up multi-factor authentication
If you have any questions or problems, the IT Service is happy to provide on-site support at the University Computer Centre and University Library or during heiCONF consultation hours.
From 3rd - 31st July 2024, the IT service of the University Computer Centre will also offer support in setting up multi-factor authentication in the service portal for students.
