Information on starting your studies for international students
At the beginning of the semester, new students can get to know the university through various events. The Department of International Relations organizes orientation days especially for international first-year students in the week before lectures begin.
During the orientation days, participants receive information about studying and living in Heidelberg, important formal aspects of the study visit and services for international students. In addition to central lectures as well as city and campus tours, the orientation event includes individual support in small groups.

Monday, 7th of October 2024
2.00 pm: Opening ceremony, Neue Universität, Aula
Welcome address and division into small groups followed by group rooms
Afterwards: First meeting of the small groups, group rooms
Getting to know each other and initial information
4.30 pm: Rallye, Start: Neue Universität, Foyer
