Exkursionsprogramm SATURDAY – 21. JUNE: MAINZ AND RHINE CRUISE

A day full of history and romance on the Rhine!

Our journey begins in Mainz, where we visit the impressive Romanesque imperial cathedral on a city tour  . You will also be amazed by the world-famous coloured windows by Marc Chagall in the Church of St. Stephen. Another highlight is the Gutenberg Museum, where you can admire the Gutenberg Bible, the oldest printed book in the world, in its original form.

After a short lunch break, a relaxing boat trip through the picturesque Middle Rhine Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its many castles and palaces  , awaits you. We drive past the legendary Loreley, one of the most famous landmarks of the Rhine, and reach Bacharach, a charming wine village. High above the city is the majestic Stahleck Castle, a true jewel of Rhine Romanticism, which offers us the breathtaking view of the river and the surrounding area.
