Learning Opportunities

Study formats

In addition to the classic format of a full-time first degree programme, the university also offers other study formats that enable prospective students to combine their individual needs with the range of courses on offer. As the second degree programme is also subject to special conditions, it is also listed on this page.

Continuing Master’s degree programmes

Continuing master’s degree programmes require qualifying professional experience of at least one year in addition to a university degree. For all those who want to give their professional profile a special orientation.

Scientific Training

With a variety of programmes, the Scientific Training at the heiSKILLS Competence and Language Centre of Heidelberg University offers employees, graduates, (young) scientists and lecturers the opportunity for further education.

University of the Third Age: Studying with 60 or above (DE)

The “University of the Third Age” is designed specifically for those aged 60 or above. The programme gives many older people the opportunity for personal development later on in life. For many participants, the course presents a new challenge in the “third age”.
