The university computing center of the University of Heidelberg provides software for the members of the university from federal and state licenses, framework agreements and campus licenses:

For Microsoft, volume licenses are installed on all ZAW devices. So that the Windows and Office licenses do not deactivate, the devices must be logged in at least once in 3 months in Uninetz. This concerns above all the service laptops.

The following procedure is recommended:
1) Turn on the computer and connect to Uni-Heidelberg WLAN,
2) Start Cisco VPN once (https://www.urz.uni-heidelberg.de/de/vpn)
3) wait some time,  the license activates after about 5 minutes by itself.
