About Us
Heidelberg University Guesthouses
The guesthouses are organizationally attached to the Division Donations and Financial Management of Heidelberg University. They offer visiting scientists, newly appointed professors as well as guests from university-related institutions and their families a real "temporary home".
Living among friends
A place for scholars and their families, where they can live for a while and feel comfortable - this is what Heidelberg University Guesthouses stand for. The guesthouse Im Neuenheimer Feld 370 connects 3 buildings and is supported by the "Unterländer Studienfonds", a public endowment of the university. Our modern apartments which are embedded in various teaching research facilities and close to the cafeteria, the Botanical Garden and the river Neckar offer a very pleasant environment for guests of Heidelberg University and affiliated institution, combined with an international campus flair. Due to the ideal location on campus, destinations are easy to get to by foot, bike or public transport. This housing offer is complemented by the guesthouse Im Neuenheimer Feld 371, in its direct neighbourhood. Two apartments which are adapted to the needs of the disabled are also at the disposal of our visiting scholars. The guesthouse INF 370 is also home of the university-owned Kids Club, a childcare for our young guests - with multilingual caregivers and flexible hours – as needed.
Support on site
Our staff members take care of bookings, prepare the apartments and organize the handover of keys. During their stay at our guesthouses, guests can adress our team on site in case of questions or problems.
Living on Campus
The guesthouses are located on the university campus next to the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ), the Centre of Molecular Biology (ZMBH), several university clinics and the Max-Planck-Institutes for Medical Research and International Law, making it an ideal base for visiting scientists working in the fields of medicine and the natural sciences. Scholars working at institutes in the city centre have quick access to the old town or e.g. campus Bergheim by public transport or bike. Not surprisingly, you find scientists of the most diverse professions living under one roof in the Heidelberg University Guesthouses [More...].
