In the event series “HAIlight” we have been taking a look behind the scenes of the university together with you for more than 10 years now to brush up memories and discover sides of Ruperto Carola, that have been unrevealed during your time here. We get to know new sides of Heidelberg or gain exciting insights into life and work of our members and other people associated with the university. Be in for a surprise!

The Heidelberg Congress Center (HCC) – „Designed to Perform”
When: Monday, June 02 - 5:00 p.m.
Where: Heidelberg Congress Center, Heidelberg-Bahnstadt
HAI members can exclusively find out the meaning of the slogan “Designed to Perform”. The Heidelberg Congress Center, which won the prestigious “best architects 25 award” architecture prize, was officially opened in mid-April 2024 and since then has offered a variety of rooms and facilities for conferences, meetings, seminars, exhibitions and cultural events. We cordially invite you to a guided tour of the new congress center, where you can learn all about the architectural concept and the center's extensive technological equipment at first hand. On site, you will find ten halls with a total of 3,800 seats on three levels, a high-end TV studio offering a wide range of production options and Germany's largest permanently installed LED wall. With around 6,600 square meters of dialogue space and thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment, the HCC is an interesting, versatile location for conferences, congresses and concerts for companies and institutions all over the world.
