EU/EEA CITIZENS AND INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS WITH A GERMAN UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE QUALIFICATION ENROLMENT IN THE FIRST SEMESTER

BACHELOR, STATE EXAMINATION AND MAGISTER THEOLOGIAE

Depending on the application and admission procedure for your desired degree programme, you are required to submit an application to Heidelberg University prior to the application deadline.

International students who have been admitted to study at Heidelberg University must must apply for enrolment by the deadline specified in the letter of admission. Enrolment takes place digitally via the heiCO portal and in writing.
If you have not been able to present the German language test for the admission to universities (DSH) required for your degree programme at the time of your application, please submit this document by the time of your enrolment at the latest. If the examination is not passed, or if the minimum required score is not achieved, and you have not been granted an official exemption, you will not be permitted to enrol in the degree programme specified in the letter of admission.
Because the information pertaining to EU/EEA citizens and international applicants with a German university entrance qualification (so-called “"Bildungsinländer”) differs in some points, we have provided the information here in two separate sections. 

FEATURES SPECIFIC TO CERTAIN DEGREE PROGRAMMES

Applications for and enrolment in the degree programme in Medical Informatics, BA 100% must be made to Heilbronn University. Further information on the procedure can be found in our Study Programme Finder. Select your subject there.

ENROLMENT OR CHANGE OF DEGREE PROGRAMME?

If you are already enrolled at Heidelberg University, you are not required to re-enrol. Instead, you must go to the “Studierendenadministration” where your change of degree programme can be registered. 
Before applying for a change of degree programme, you are strongly advised to discuss this with the student advisory services for international students (room 30).
