When and how will the results be published?

What do the results mean?

“German course”: This means that you may participate in a German course of a particular level (basic / intermediate / advanced) run by Heidelberg University.
German courses are subject to a fee that has to be transferred before the lessons start. Please contact verwaltung@isz.uni-heidelberg.de to get information on payment terms.
In order to participate in the German course you must also enrol as a student:
Enrolment as a student at the Division of Student Affairs and Teaching of Heidelberg University
Anyone who has been admitted to the German language course must enrol as a student at Heidelberg University via the campus management system heiCo. Registration/application is obligatory.
Please proceed as follows:
- Create an application account:
- Select “Preparatory course” under "Type of study".
- Another drop-down box opens: Study programme - please select “German preparatory course” here.
- Another drop-down box opens: Form of study - please select “No degree” and confirm with “Continue”.
- On the following pages please enter your personal data and contact details.
- You will be taken to the information on your higher education entrance qualification - please fill in all the required information on your school leaving certificate here.
- Please upload your school leaving certificate and - if available - your university entrance examination as a PDF file.
- Please upload your letter of acceptance for the German language course at the Internationales Studienzentrum Heidelberg.
- Finally, you will receive a summary of your information - please check it carefully and confirm the three mandatory fields at the bottom of the page.
- Click “Send” to submit your application.
- Your application will be checked and confirmed by the responsible person in charge - as soon as this has happened, you will receive the admission in your application account.
- Please accept the study programme and complete the enrolment in your account.
How can I get my student ID card?
Once you have uploaded all your documents to heiCO, you will be enrolled as a student at Heidelberg University. You will receive an e-mail and a message in heiCO with information about your Uni-ID, your activation password and details of when and where you can collect your student ID card.
What else do I need to do?
- After enroling as a student you must transfer the semester fee of € 151,05 to:

Reason for payment: Last name, name, and student number
- You must validate your student identity card (student ID) at one of the validation machines located in Seminarstraße 2, ground floor, on the left.
Introduction for new participants in the German courses
Participation in the introductory event with information on enrolment, residence registration, visa and health insurance is strongly recommended.
