APPLICATION FOR THE FIRST ACADEMIC SEMESTER MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES WITH ACCESS AND ADMISSION RESTRICTIONS
All Master’s degree programmes at Heidelberg University are access-restricted. In each case, the restrictions are stipulated in the admission regulations for the relevant subject. Restrictions might require for example, that students have successfully completed an undergraduate degree programme and achieved an above-average grade, or that they have already gained specific professional experience.
Alongside access restrictions, a number of Master’s degree programmes are also admission-restricted. This means that the number of places available in these subjects is limited. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available, only the best applicants will be admitted to the course.
