Study Advisory Services
Which field of study is the best one for me? How to organise my course of studies? What do I do afterwards? Heidelberg University offers a wide range of advisory services and support services for questions around studying and career planning, from initial orientation on studying to doctoral studies and building a career.

Service Portal für Students
The service portal for students is the first point of contact for any questions around studying. It bundles the information, counselling, and administrative services of the Student Administration and Student Advisory Office for students and prospective students. Contacts will be available to provide anything from initial information at the information desk and the student administration service to student and teacher training advice and advisory services specifically for international students, IT support, and heiCO support.
Contact us with your requests by calling +49 (0) 6221 54-5454 or emailing: studium@uni-heidelberg.de.
Services of the student advisory office
Brief information on application, enrollment, change of degree programme, etc. can be provided by phone, email, or on site in the Service Portal for Students. You can also drop by during the daily open office hours. No appointments are necessary for a brief consultation in person or online. More detailed advice on study orientation and study organisation can be provided in individual counselling sessions. Our workshop programme “Stark im Studium” offers group activities on challenging topics during your studies.
